Capital Combat Pro Series 2 Preview: Three Championship Bouts in Canberra
CAPITAL COMBAT PRO SERIES 2 THIS SATURDAY
Professional Muay Thai returns to the nation’s capital this Saturday, 1 August, as Capital Combat Club presents Capital Combat Pro Series 2 at The Vault, Canberra.
The stacked card features an Australia vs Thailand main event, the first defence of the WBC Australian Heavyweight Championship, and the crowning of the inaugural WBC NSW Mini Flyweight Champion.
Trent Hodgkinson vs Super K Sitmonchai | MAIN EVENT
Western Australia’s Trent Hodgkinson returns to Canberra to defend his Capital Combat Pro Series Stadium Championship against Canberra-based Thai standout Super K Sitmonchai from Muay U Gym.
Representing Kao Sok Muay Thai, Hodgkinson enters the bout as the WBC Western Australian Champion and faces arguably the toughest test of his career.
Originally from the renowned Sitmonchai Gym in Thailand, Super K brings more than 100 professional fights, having competed on many of Thailand’s biggest Muay Thai promotions before making Canberra his home.
WBC Australian Heavyweight Championship | CO-MAIN EVENT
Australia’s first-ever WBC Australian Heavyweight Champion, Tilly “The Dog” Bell, returns to make the first defence of her national title against undefeated Western Australian challenger Tahlia Roddan.
The pair first met in 2024, fighting to a draw. Now, they’ll settle the score over five rounds with the Australian title on the line.
WBC NSW MINI FLYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
History will be made as the inaugural WBC NSW Mini Flyweight Championship is contested for the very first time.
Canberra’s Linh-Dan Ta returns from an extended campaign training and competing in Thailand to face Sydney’s undefeated Mertella “Mighty” Ventigan from Full Force Gym.
Only one fighter will leave with the honour of becoming the first-ever WBC NSW Mini Flyweight Champion.
