The main event belonged to Western Australia’s Trent Hodgkinson, who produced the biggest victory of his professional career with a dominant stoppage win over experienced Thai veteran Super K Sitmonchai.

Representing Kao Sok Muay Thai, Hodgkinson successfully defended the Capital Combat Pro Series Championship, stopping the former Sitmonchai Gym fighter in the fifth and final round. The victory marked another significant milestone for the reigning WBC Western Australian Champion, who overcame the toughest test of his 15-fight career against an opponent boasting more than 100 professional bouts.

In the co-main event, Australia’s first WBC Australian Light Heavyweight Champion, Tilly “The Dog” Bell, made the first successful defence of her national title with a unanimous decision victory over previously undefeated Western Australian challenger Tahlia Roddan.

The pair’s first meeting ended in a draw, but Bell left no doubt in the rematch, controlling the championship rounds to hand Roddan the first defeat of her career while retaining the WBC Australian title.

Another significant milestone came as the inaugural WBC NSW Mini Flyweight Championship was contested for the first time.

Sydney’s undefeated Mertella “Mighty” Ventigan from Full Force Gym continued her impressive run, defeating Muay U Canberra’s Linh-Dan Ta via unanimous decision to become the first-ever WBC NSW Mini Flyweight Champion at 47.7kg.

Elsewhere on the main card, Moses Garang claimed a hard-fought decision victory over Leo Nguyen, while Ben Wilson also secured a points victory against Iskander Urbisnov.

The undercard featured two stoppages, with Josh Raptis scoring a knockout victory over Liam Drummond, while Blade Gay stopped Liam Ward in the third round. Victories also went to Kat Tumang, Siu Dong Li, Mary Saade, and Oscar Purdon.

Capital Combat Pro Series 2 once again showcased the depth of Australian Muay Thai talent, combining interstate championship bouts with international competition to deliver another successful night for the Canberra promotion.
