Muay Thai League 12 delivered excitement as Brandon Spain and Albert Tuua put on a show, with WBC World and Australian Champions crowned, lighting up the Sopo Southport arena.

Australia’s Muay Thai stars took center stage, showcasing their skills against international talent. The event saw a stacked card, headlined by Brandon Spain and Thai veteran Chaloemphon TPC in a thrilling featherweight bout. From the opening bell, both fighters engaged in an elbow war, with Spain quickly cutting Chaloemphon. In a stunning finish, Spain knocked out his opponent in the very first round, sending the crowd at Sopo Southport into a frenzy.

In the co-main event, Albert Tuua went to war with the seasoned Rodlek PK, and the fight lived up to its hype. After Rodlek dropped Albert with a clean right hook in the first round, Tuua rallied in the later rounds with spectacular jumping knees and spinning back elbows, opening a cut on Rodlek. The fifth round was tightly contested in the clinch, but the fight went to the judges, who awarded Tuua a split-decision victory in what is already being hailed as a contender for the 2024 Aus Muay Thai Fight of the Year. This victory marks the biggest achievement of Tuua’s 28-fight career.

Lucille “Lucy” Deadman was crowned WBC World Minimumweight Champion, delivering a dominant performance by stopping Thailand’s Petchsupa with leg kicks in the fourth round.

Brisbane’s Harry Sheppard cemented himself as a force in the super lightweight division by defeating Perth’s Max Milne via fourth-round TKO, claiming the WBC Australian Super Lightweight Title.
