New South Wales’ Katie Mitchell emerged victorious in Hardcore Promotions’ historic $20,000 8-Women Eliminator, held at the Melbourne Pavilion. Katie claimed the impressive cash prize and the WBC Muay Ying belt after winning three consecutive bouts in a single night—a historic first for the 8-Women eliminator format.

Following a random draw in the opening round, Katie faced Canberra’s Olivia Kerr, securing her initial win by unanimous decision. Advancing to the semi-finals, she met Perth’s Paris Rose and once again claimed victory with another unanimous decision.

In the final showdown, Katie squared off against Victoria’s Nyra Boyle. The fight was stopped in the second round when Nyra, unable to continue due to a cut beneath her eye, retired, awarding Katie the win by TKO.

This triumph cements Katie Mitchell’s place as one of the top female’s in Australian Muay Thai.
