Amazing Muaythai: Road To Rajadamnern x Rebellion: RESULTS
This past Saturday, The Melbourne Pavilion transformed into a vibrant Thai haven for an all-day celebration of Muay Thai and Thai culture, courtesy of the “Amazing Thailand” Tourism Authority of Thailand. The event was a true showcase of Muay Thai at every level, from Muaythai Victoria Amateurs to the Roots Level Preliminary Card, culminating in an electrifying Road to Rajadamnern Main Card.
For the first time in Australia, a Road to Rajadamnern event took center stage, featuring four key bouts where at least one winner would earn the opportunity to compete at the legendary Rajadamnern Stadium on December 20th.
The headline bout saw Western Australia’s Shannon Gardiner, the current WBC & WMC World Champion, face off against Diandra Martin in the most anticipated women’s domestic matchup in years. Both fighters delivered an intense five-round battle, but Gardiner’s precision and determination secured her the victory.
The fan-voted Fight of the Night came from a thrilling Super Featherweight clash between PTJ’s Ibrahim Abou Saleh and James Kostic. In a tactical and hard-fought bout, Saleh’s experience shone through as he earned a split decision win after five rounds of fast-paced action.
Perth’s world-ranked #4 Bryony Soden showcased her skill in a high-stakes contest against Queensland’s Corban Harvey, who stepped in on just four days’ notice. Soden’s composure and technique earned her the win after another grueling five-round bout.
In another standout performance, Victoria’s Ramesh Habib made a powerful return to Rebellion, stopping NSW’s rising star Kai Weate-Jones with a devastating body shot in the third round, making a strong statement as he aims maintain his status as one of Australia’s top Welterweights
