Muay Thai Grand Prix Australia May 18th: EVENT PREVIEW
This Saturday, Curtain Stadium in Perth, Western Australia, will set the stage for Muay Thai Grand Prix Australia, promising an electrifying lineup of international talent.
Headlining the event is UK’s rising star and Current World #9, Alfie Ponting. He steps up to contend for the recently vacated WBC MuayThai World Lightweight Title, (previously held by now injured Luca Falco) against France’s World #10, Perrault Andrany.
Perth’s own Bryony Soden, Australia’s #1 and ranked #3 in the world, will seize another opportunity for WBC Gold as she competes for the WBC Super Bantamweight International Title against Ireland’s #15-ranked Emma Usher.
Fans can anticipate a thrilling trilogy matchup as the “Dreaded One” Nathan Embelton returns to face off against Matt Deisel.
The stakes are high with the WBC Lightweight WA State Title up for grabs as two of WA’s top prospects go head to head as Riddlers Gym’s Luke Di Scerni squares off against Kao Sok’s Gabriel Ronquillo.
In a crossover spectacle, Interim HEX MMA Fight Series Featherweight Champion, Abdalla Biayda, transitions to the Muay Thai ring to take on Joseph Stockwell.
Making his comeback after a hiatus, multiple-time WA State and Australian Champion, Tyler Hardcastle, is set to take on Thailand’s Pern Phetmongkhon.
