Max McVicker makes winning debut on Sor Sommai Promotion at Rajadamnern Stadium

Former WBC World Champion Max McVicker has officially stepped into a new chapter of his Muay Thai journey, securing a hard-fought points victory over Thailand’s Kingpetch Bannaksoo in his debut on the prestigious Sor Sommai Promotion at Rajadamnern Stadium.
Competing under traditional five-round rules on Thailand’s iconic gambling circuit, McVicker showed composure and high fight IQ across five technical rounds, earning the judges’ decision and turning heads in his first outing on the revered circuit.
Ahead of the bout, McVicker spoke to Aus MuayThai about the significance of this new endeavour:
“When I retire, I want to say I did it all. For me, that means making my imprint on the traditional gambling circuit.”
Wednesday night’s performance proved he’s well on his way. The Western Australian continues to evolve, adding another milestone to an already accomplished resume.
As McVicker continues his campaign in Thailand, the Aussie standout is not just chasing wins — he’s building a legacy.
