Albert Tu’ua Claims 2nd Stoppage – MTL 13 RECAP & RESULTS
After a postponement due to Cyclone Alfred, Muay Thai League returned to Sopo Southport this Saturday night with MTL 13 delivering fireworks on the Gold Coast.
In the main event, Australia’s most exciting fighter, Albert “Baby Yod” Tu’ua, lived up to the hype once again adding to his highlight reel with a second-round KO over New Zealand’s powerhouse Jeffery Kelly. Tu’ua landed a flush step up knee to floor his opponent in second round.
The co-main event saw a hard fought battle for QLD Super Welterweight supremacy, as Ipswich’s Ashton Johnston claimed the belt and handed Zack Pankhurst his first professional loss via split decision. The five round back and forth war lived up to the hype, earning Fight of the Night honours in what was one of the most competitive matchups of the evening.
